The form of this elegant drive in bank is derived directly from the traffic patterns around it. Commercial customers circulate next to the building on one side, while others transact business at terminals while facing the tellers and circulate around the rounded ends of the building as they leave. The bluish tint Endicott brick was chosen to symbolically tie the drive-in facility to office building housing the main banking lobby across the street. The massive geometric brick form of the building is contrasted against the light structure covering the teller machines serving the customers. Indirect lighting, reflecting off the bottom surface of the Galvalume roof provides soft lighting for customers without the glare or reflections often seen with the use of direct lighting. |
