By carefully listening to the client’s needs, and designing simple, innovative solutions, Bill May created a space that meets those needs in unexpected ways. A simple storage system in the living room conceals all stereo equipment, wine storage and big screen TV behind acoustically transparent, perforated metal doors which allow the client to hide the contents while listening to music. |

The kitchen was completely reconfigured for a better work flow using existing modular cabinetry. |

The master suite included a bedroom with seating area adjacent to the balcony, an office to be used by both, and a master bath. |

Conversations about how and when office tasks were accomplished led to a solution featuring adjacent work surfaces for each, one facing west with a view out the window and another looking through the bedroom seating area to the south. The office was raised to facilitate the views. |

The master bath was redesigned to include the existing powder room thus gaining room for tub, enclosed toilet and large shower. |
