Do you actually do the construction?
We can, but usually don't.
Architects are well suited to carry out construction
management responsibilities but most people opt to
utilize the services of general contractors who manage
the construction by a variety of subcontractors.
Architects usual role in the construction phase is as
construction administrator, representative of the owner.
In this capacity, we conduct periodic site observations,
answer questions from the contractor and serve as a
conduit with all correspondence to and from owner and
contractor going through the architect.
