This project was to have been a “spec” restaurant off
North Main Street in Houston. Former restaurant
clients, had bought the site as an investment and
wanted to build a building for lease to a target
restaurant market.

As the area is predominately Hispanic, the design pays
homage to prominent Mexican Architects Luis Barragan
and Ricardo Legretto. The bright colors, simple
fenestration and wood grid doors and gates are
elements often found in their work. The colors and a
semi-enclosed patio visible from North main were
calculated to create interest and lure prospective
customers.
