This retail center was planned in conjunction with an office building on a tight site. The rear of the center is visible from the offices and from parking, so care was taken to hide utilities, roof drainage, etc. phase II included a bank and clock tower at the intersection of walkways.
The project has since been modified with a huge plaster crown mold atop the brick, removal of the sign band, and addition of outsized channel letters on the brick as shown in recent shot of phase II at the left. With this new signage one can also see the usual series of holes in the facade which accompany this technique.
